Top 5 Air Travel Apps on iOS in Hungary: Q1 2024

During the first quarter of 2024, the top five air travel apps on the iOS platform in Hungary exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Wizz Air - Book Flights, published by Wizz Air Hungary Ltd., saw a fluctuating download pattern starting at 2.4K downloads in early January, dipping to around 1.6K by the end of March. Active users also showed a gradual decline from 7.5K to approximately 6.6K over the quarter.

Ryanair, from Ryanair Ltd., maintained a relatively stable download rate, beginning with 1.6K downloads in the first week of January and ending with 1.5K in the last week of March. Active users for Ryanair increased slightly, peaking at 6.8K in mid-March from an initial 6.2K.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker, developed by Flightradar24 AB, experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching around $1.2K in the second week of March. Downloads for the app rose from 782 in early January to over 1K by the end of March. Active users similarly increased from 5.6K to nearly 5.9K during the quarter.

Pelikan HU, a newcomer from Pelican Travel, saw its downloads surge from 36 in its launch week in mid-February to 1.2K by the end of March. This app did not report any revenue or active user data.

Lastly, Lufthansa, by Deutsche Lufthansa AG, had a moderate download performance, starting with 310 downloads in early January and ending with 261 by late March. Active users for Lufthansa remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.5K to 1.7K throughout the quarter.
